Whether for business or pleasure, moving house is a big step. There are many questions that can arise when planning a move. We have summarized the most important questions for you here. If anything is not answered, please feel free to contact our relocation consultants.

Quote and Order Creation

The more information we have, the more accurately we can calculate and provide you with a suitable quote for your move. You can use a so-called moving list to document your belongings.
We are happy to inspect your moving goods on-site free of charge, whether it’s a private move or a corporate relocation. For greater flexibility, we also offer video inspections of your moving goods. You can request these here without obligation.

As a general rule, the earlier, the better. If we are informed about a move at least four weeks in advance, we are most likely able to meet your desired date. If capacities allow, we are happy to accommodate shorter notice moves, but we cannot guarantee this.

It’s difficult to provide a general price, as a move depends on many small details (e.g., number of floors, challenging access routes, no-parking zones, long carrying distances, special assembly skills required, waterbeds, etc.), meaning every move must be calculated individually.

A moving inventory list should include the:
Quantity
Size (as accurate as possible)
Type of the furniture items.

Preparing for Your Move

Of course, you can pack your moving boxes yourself. However, we’re happy to take care of this task for you or provide you with the necessary moving boxes.

You are welcome to disassemble your furniture yourself before the move. However, we also have experienced carpenters on our moving team who can professionally handle this task for you and carefully reassemble the furniture in your new home or apartment.

Moving Boxes

If desired, we can take care of packing your moving boxes in your current home and unpacking them in your new home. We handle delicate items like dishes and glasses with care, packing them in suitable moving boxes and labeling them properly.

The number of moving boxes required depends on your belongings, the size of your current home or apartment, and the number of people in your household. As a general guideline, you can estimate 15 to 25 moving boxes per person.
To plan more accurately, we are happy to estimate your needs in advance through a free on-site inspection of your moving goods.

If you’d like to purchase moving boxes from us, we can deliver them to you before the move or bring them along on moving day. Alternatively, you can pick them up at our moving shop in any of our branches.

The most important thing is that the moving boxes are still easy to carry. Generally, the weight of each box should not exceed 30 kg.
To ensure this, heavy and compact items like books can be combined with lighter items such as towels and bedding.

Bonus tip: Towels can also be used to protect fragile items.

We offer the right box for every imaginable purpose, including:

  • Clothing/Laundry Boxes: For clothes, linens, bed covers, towels, dishes, and kitchen utensils (light and bulkier items)

  • Bottle Sleeves: For safely packing your wine collection
  • TV Boxes: For your TV if you no longer have the original box

Payment

The quoted amount must be paid in advance via bank transfer no later than 7 days before the start of the move. After the move is completed, you will receive a final invoice, with the advance payment duly accounted for.

We do not accept cash payments and kindly request that you pay both the advance payment and the final invoice via bank transfer.

Moving Day

If you have a designated parking space, our moving team will gladly use it. However, if parking is challenging, such as in a city center, we can arrange a no-parking zone for the moving day for an additional fee. We will also set up the necessary signs for you.

Yes, we can pick up your moving goods from multiple addresses and deliver them to your new location.
Additionally, we can also transport moving goods from one address to multiple destinations if needed.

If any damage is caused by our team, it will be documented on the work order and covered by our insurance. There is a statutory basic liability of €620 per cubic meter, which you can increase to a value of your choice by taking out additional insurance.

We are happy to transport your houseplants safely to avoid any external damage. However, we cannot guarantee protection from weather conditions or temperature fluctuations that might harm the plants.

To ensure that your belongings arrive undamaged, we recommend avoiding non-professional helpers and relying entirely on our professional service.

Storage

We are happy to store your unused furniture for you.
Depending on the duration and quantity, we use swap bodies or special storage containers, which are securely and dryly housed in our large container hall.

The cost of storage depends on the size of the items and the duration of storage. Our moving consultants will be happy to provide you with a free and non-binding quote.

You can store your furniture at any of our locations:

  • Heilbronn
  • Stuttgart
  • Wiesbaden

We can also collect your items for storage from locations outside these cities and deliver them to your desired address after the storage period ends.

Office Relocation

Timely planning is highly recommended. Since larger quantities of furniture typically need to be moved, these should be thoroughly recorded, and detailed planning is essential. We are happy to handle the complete move management for you.

Yes, you can deduct the costs of your office relocation as business expenses on your taxes.
